Nicole Helgason

Nicole Helgason is a passionate environmental advocate, coral conservationist, and digital content creator. Her journey began in the summer of 2006 during her first scuba diving experience in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, where she discovered a captivating coral reef. Growing up in Canada, Nicole was familiar with planting and harvesting a veggie garden in Saskatchewan, but the underwater "garden" of corals she encountered ignited a lifelong commitment to marine conservation.

Inspired by the sight of an A-frame coral nursery brimming with Acropora coral, Nicole transitioned into the professional dive industry and subsequently into marine coral conservation. Over the past decade, she has become a prolific blog writer and content creator, producing over a thousand articles for both digital and print formats. Embracing the evolution of the digital world, Nicole has focused on digital marketing, helping brands grow their online presence while continuing to inspire others to appreciate and protect coral diversity.
